Guess who doesn't like to have her teeth brushed?

Anyone have any tips?

Pablo really resisted the toothbrush at first - I was afraid he hated it so much that it would become a really unpleasant experience for him - so I gave up and used a wet washcloth to get the job done. We used a washcloth for a while - probably until he was about 16 or 17 months. Then I made it a point to brush my teeth in front of him everyday - even getting down at his level so he could see what I was doing - and he quickly became VERY interested in brushing. Now he absolutely loves it. Usually he just chews on the brush rather than actually brushing back and forth, but at least he likes to do it. Now he gets upset when I take the toothbrush away! It also helps to get a toothbrush with characters that they like - Elmo, Thomas, Baby Einstein or whatever. Good luck - I'm sure Olivia will come around soon!

Maybe she can learn from cousin Caitlyn - it worked well for her other cousin named Olivia.

Even though the pediatrician and dentist told me not to, I put a really really really small amount of toothpaste on the toothbrush. Tyler loves the taste. And he also thinks it is cool to floss. I tell him he can't floss until he brushes. We also do it together, like Julie and Pablo do. They love to do what we are doing. We love reading your blog. Tyler calls Olivia the "baby." He asks me to "see the baby" when he wants to read your blog!
