Hangin' With The Fam' and Ode to Nelly

The last few weeks and weekends have been very
busy in the Henry household. We were very fortunate
to have Aunt Nadine, Katie and Jake visit us both weekends.
We owe a huge "thank you" to the entire Spain clan
for helping to care for Olivia as we organized our garage,
had a garage sale, and checked out the new Batman flick.

More than anything, Olivia enjoyed having the undivided attention
of her parents, her aunt and her cousins. Check her out
as she hams it up for the camera.

I like to call this outfit "apples on her shirt, Uggs with
fur..." Ok, I will stop my sorry attempt at rapping.
However, it is a cute outfit that reminds me of that
catchy Flo' Rida song about Nelly's jeans. I know, it's waaay too
warm to be wearing Uggs, but they were too big last winter
and will be too small in just a few short months!

Life sized Elmo=Olivia's fantasies become reality.

Ahhh, pizza. Cousin Katie was amazed at how much
pizza Olivia can eat. This kid loves anything with red
sauce!

Olivia has a huge crush on Jake...in fact she has
mastered saying his name!

That's all folks!

Celebration

Last night I joined a bunch of my lady friends to
celebrate Whitney's birthday. This birthday was
quite a milestone as Whitney is also celebrating a recent
and miraculous recovery from thyroid and lymph cancer.

We had a fabulous time. Happy Birthday Whitney!

Reinforcements

We went in for a checkup/ultrasound this morning and were very surprised to learn that we're having a boy! We were told on a previous ultrasound it was definitely a girl but this time there was no mistaking it. God has decided to send in reinforcements against 2 girls and 3 female dogs. It still won't be enough I'm afraid.
Here's a picture from this morning of Olivia's future punching bag:

I'll spare the pictures of his oversized anatomy proving his manhood. More pics of Olivia very soon. Hope everyone enjoyed being Rick Rolled. That song has been stuck in my head for three days...

New Video on You Tube

I can't quite figure out how to imbed the You Tube video so you'll have to check out the new Olivia video here:

Toy Basket

One of Olivia's new favorite things to do is to push
her toy basket around and then stand in it. She sometimes
pushes it to her activity table, stands in the basket,
and pretends to play the keys on the table (as seen here).

Ready for take off!

I think she looks like Pebbles with her hair pulled up.
Pat thinks she looks like a Snork!

Check out the pearly whites.

We were trying to get her to smile, but she would only
give us a smirk!

Because They Need Help

When Hurricane Katrina happened we could not open our wallets, closets, and hearts fast enough to help the victims. I know that Pat and I went out of our way to do all that we could to assist those in need in one of our favorite (and Pat's most favorite) city.

Unfortunately, my former neighbors in many parts of Iowa are now in serious need of flood-related assistance. They may be a little shy about asking for money to help repair their cities, but I, on the other hand, am not.

Happy 4th of July!

We celebrated the 4th by heading over to Betsy and Mandy's pool party in Buckhead. Olivia once again took to the water like a fish and did not want us to hold onto her in the water. We're pretty sure at this point she got the Pop Pop Henry genes.

Also, a belated Happy Birthday to Uncle Matt! Sorry we couldn't get any videos of Liv saying Happy Birthday, she's just now saying "good girl Detchie" aka Gretchen our dog. Here's the photos:

Intensity thy name is Henry...

More intense - this time with Mom and Dad

Liv, Mom and Kari. Caught Kari with a funny look.

One more try...

Finally, here's Sasha meeting Elmo (or as Olivia calls him, Ello) for the first time:

Silly Girl

Thanks to Grand-Mom for the nifty pink sunglasses!
