Beach Trip

We just returned from several days at the beach. We were fortunate
to have gorgeous weather and plenty of visitors...Aunt Nadine,
Katie, Jake, Grand-Mom and Pop-Pop were all able to spend time
with us and a great time was had by all.

Olivia managed to find Goldfish at the beach!

Splashing with Aunt Nadine. Olivia spent a TON
of time in the pool and she was not afraid to dive face
first into the water. We were amazed at how comfortable
our little swimmer was in both the pool and the ocean.

Just 4 more weeks until we know for sure if Olivia
will have a little sister or brother!

No Love for Elmo

We gave Olivia a new talking Elmo toy last weekend since she seemed fixated on him while watching Sesame Street. Apparently the honeymoon is over as we witnessed her grabbing him by his giant ping pong eyeballs and beating him senseless (so of course we picked up the video camera). Note the commentary, we're just glad we have giant dogs and not some poor toy poodle.

Baby Pool

Last weekend we decided to get off our
lazy butts and inflate Olivia's baby pool.
We figured she'd totally love her baby pool
as she loves to swim and play in the water
tables at her school.

Here she is taking off her sandal as she
anticipates heading to the deck.

She was a little intrigued by the pool, but we were
confident that she would love it once she got in.

However, there was no love for the baby pool.
There were a LOT of tears and whining!

Then Dad took a break from mowing the lawn
to jump in and show Olivia that the pool was OK.

If you look to the above photo you will see that the
tongue-hanging-out expressions my child often
sports were clearly inherited from her Dad!

On a side note, as soon as Olivia was out of the pool
Nina came by to drink some of the pool water (gross)
and popped the sunshade with her long nails!

Just in time for Christmas...

Since one bossy toddler wasn't enough - get ready for round 2!



We're very excited for the new addition who just happens to have made Kate very ill for the past three months. We're just not sure how Ms. O will take it...

Hope to see everyone soon. Time to start bribing the church again for Baptism space..

Look who's 40!

Thanks to Grand-Mom and Pop-Pop, we were
able to help Zak ring in his 40th birthday last night.

These 2 photos don't do a bit of justice to the wild and
wacky festivities (have you ever seen someone try to take
down a pinata wearing onion goggles and a bandanna?!).

Needless to say, a wonderful time was had by all. The first
photo represents the early part of the evening and the second
photo was a more "animated" version promised specifically
for the entertainment of Uncle Frankie Baby.
