Merry Christmas and Happy Anniversary Grand Mom and Pop Pop

Merry Christmas everyone! We took quite a few pictures over the holiday so we're a little late in updating. Uncle Joe, Aunt Ann and the boys stopped by on the 26th to meet their newest cousin. Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

Nina checking to see if Pearce has any spare food.

Nope, no food. See you later baby.

Pearce waking up.

He's not liking the flash on this one.

Pearce's hair is starting to blonde over. I'm thinking a young Daniel Craig.

Play-Doh! Play-Doh!

A little better.

And finally - another Olivia video where she violently tucks in her Bitty Baby. She's much better with Pearce.

Wrinkly Baby Elf

Here are a couple of photos of our little elf!

This one is my favorite. I contemplated stuffing
him in his Xmas stocking and taking a photo. Despite
using lots of butter, he just wouldn't fit. I had to
settle for the hat look instead!

Pearce has the cutest forehead wrinkles. They
really complete the "toothless, almost hairless,
old man look" that makes babies so adorable.

The wrinkles are on the sides of his forehead...
no wrinkles in the middle (yet!).

Hope this fulfills your need for a Pearce fix.

Photos of special agent hit the net!

OK...we've heard your cries. Here are a few photos
of our little 007. Just know that all proceeds from the
release of these photos are being donated to charity
to help buy new shoes for an angry Iraqi reporter.

Pearce is 2 weeks old as of 8:46 this morning. We
can hardly believe he has been here 2 whole weeks
(mainly because he is quiet and barely opens his eyes!).

007 took his first bath last week and all went well. As you
can see, he bears a strong resemblance to Olivia in
his cozy yellow bath towel.

When Pearce is actually awake, he spends
his time thinking. We assume he is pondering his next
meal as all this child does is eat! He is nursing like a
maniac. Unfortunately, he does not at all have any interest
in taking a bottle. Today, cousin Liz was kind enough to
babysit so Mommy could go to the Dr. and Mr. 007
kindly refused to eat until Mommy returned. Hopefully
we will be able to break this habit soon. We were lucky
that Olivia would always take any food in any way she
could get it (hence the reason she is 27 lbs at 21 months-old).
As for his Angelina-like pout...well, it is here to stay.
Pearce has his Daddy's dimple, his Mommy's coloring,
and his Papou's full lips!

The playmat: this is our attempt to keep the
little man awake during the waking hours. Hopefully
this tactic will continue to keep him from waking
during the sleeping hours!
In other news, we have been blessed to have both Grand-Mom
Henry and Yiaya Skafidas here the last 2 weeks. The
grandmothers have enjoyed spending time with Pearce as
well as teaching Olivia lots of fun catch phrases. Grand-Mom
taught Olivia to say "ta-da!" and Yiaya taught her "OH MAN!"
and "okey dokey." Olivia continues to refer to the guest
room as "Grand-Mom's" or "Yiaya's." She is so cute!
As for the Mom- I am doing great. People continue to ask me
about my elective c-section. I have to say it was the best
(and really, the only) surgical experience I have had. I mean,
how often do you get to pick out the music in the operating room
and actually stay awake (without pain) to enjoy it while you
are having a baby?! Oh, and the anesthesiologist ended up taking
the best newborn photos of Pearce, Mommy and Daddy...soooo
cool! This experience sure beat the hell out of 16 hours of painful,
drugless labor, with a baby that was turned the wrong way!!!
As for recovery...it has been a miracle! So much faster and easier
than the regular delivery I had with Olivia (and I had a great
recovery and uncomplicated natural delivery with her).
We are thrilled to be so blessed during this holiday season!

New Pics and Videos

Sorry for the slow updates, we've been a little busy. Here's the pictures of Pearce leaving the hospital yesterday as well as the videos I talked about. We have a brand new video camera which is supposed to be HD. Apparently I had it on the "old shitty movie" (excuse my language but I thought it was the most appropriate way to describe the shifting of the frames) setting and not on the HD setting when I took the videos. Be careful, they might cause an epileptic seizure.

Leaving the hospital.

Another angle.

Pay close attention on this one, you can hear Olivia call Pop Pop Fran.

Pics from Saturday

Hello again everyone,

Here's a few more pics of the new guy meeting his big sister, Grandmom and Pop Pop. I have some hilarious videos of Olivia (she called Pop Pop by his first name) but it's a new camera so it will be a couple of days before I can get it figured out.

The man.

More pics and Happy Birthday Uncle Fran!

Hello stalkers!

Sorry we can't keep up with the demand for pictures of Pearce, we've been a little busy. Hopefully these will hold everyone over.

Tomorrow we'll have video evidence of "Grandmom" indoctrinating Olivia. Olivia is now convinced that "Grandmom" bears a striking resemblance to a 23 year old super model. The videos will explain all.
