Baby Brother

Olivia's been saying baby brother with some coaxing lately. She runs away from me in this clip because she wanted to eat her cookie in peace apparently. Sorry for the shaky camera sequence again.

Another latest from Olivia is to walk up to the dogs and point to specific facial features. As you can see from this video, she correctly points out Sasha's nose and eyes. Sasha thanks her by licking her. A couple of weeks ago she walked up to Nina with the cell phone and put it to her ear. Huskies have little use for modern technology.

Milestone!

Olivia achieved an exciting milestone today. She formed her first sentence! I am quite sure that you are now just dying to know exactly what she said....

Well, she said: "Let go Nash!" That's right, she not only formed a sentence, but she made a demand.

Olivia and her friend Nash were playing tug of war with a santa hat and she decided that the hat should be hers. Although Nash(who's not as verbally, um, sophisticated as our little genius) was a little perturbed, he gave up the goods and all was well in Toddler 1.

Now, if I could only get her to stop saying "let go Nash!"

Winter Gear

Chillier weather is upon us. Olivia loves her hat and "montens." Too bad she prefers to wear them indoors rather than outdoors.

As you can see, along with cold weather comes chapped lips!

Potty

Olivia's favorite word these days is "potty!" She has been
telling us about potty a lot lately. She usually tells us
after she is finished pottying in her diaper.

Tonight while I was bathing her she insisted she had to potty,
so I pulled her out of the tub and crossed my fingers that it
was the real thing. It was a false alarm. She has yet to actually
go potty in the potty, but we are proud of her efforts!

Toddler Table

In an attempt to get Olivia to stop throwing food from her highchair, we decided to purchase her her own toddler table set to eat and play at. So far she is loving it! Every time she sees the table she squeals: "table, puzzle, table!!!!" The dogs are quite intrigued by the table as well. I am convinced they think we bought it for them so they would have an easier time cleaning up Olivia's leftovers.

4 Generations

Last weekend we received a visit from my Aunt Catherine who was in town to attend my cousin Liz's latest gallery opening. Catherine is my Yiayia's middle sister, making her my great-aunt and Olivia's great-great aunt. This photo represents 4 generations of the Stomos side of my family. I believe Catherine is the most "distant" relative generation-wise, that Olivia has met. What fun!
