Just Beachy

Before I go on and on about our beach
trip, I had to share this pic of Olivia from
this morning. This child LOVES her
crib and it shows. We couldn't be
more pleased.

Now, there are a few serious perks to
living in the ATL. For starters, we enjoy
beautiful/mild weather almost year round
(just don't come here in August). Second,
you can be hiking in the mountains in less
than an hour. And finally, you can eat breakfast
at home and make it to the beach just in time
for lunch. If you actually take advantage
of the perks, you really can't beat beat the ATL
in terms of being a large city with nearby
vacation destinations!

Moving right along to the beach photos...

Yes, yes, folks this is the photo of a pedicured
foot that has enjoyed a leisurely day at the beach.
I had to take this photo to remind myself that there is,
indeed, still time to relax after having a baby. :)

A tribute to the days of old. Oh wait, we weren't
in PCB...we were in Destin! Pat couldn't resist.

View of the condo from the beach. We had never
stayed at this particular location before and we
loved it, loved it, loved it!

As you can see, the Emerald Coast (aka Redneck
Riviera) is really quite beautiful. The white sand
beaches truly are powder soft and the water is
crystal clear.

We spent our days eating and relaxing at the
beach. Thanks to Grand-Mom and Pop-Pop
Henry for joining us and for helping to watch
"Princess Olivia."

"Why do you keep leaving me to go to the beach?"
We decided it was a tad hot and humid for Olivia
at the beach. She spent her days with a captive
audience: Grand-Mom, Pop-Pop, Aunt Nadine,
Katie, Jake and even Christle had a ball entertaining
our girl. She's never had so much attention all
at once!

Finally, Pop-Pop gets a smile from Olivia.

Pat's nightmares come alive...Olivia
has been taken to the balcony!

Christle was extremely successful at getting
Olivia to smile and laugh.

He may be shorter and younger, but that
doesn't stop Jake from giving big sis Katie
the "bunny ears."

Good times folks! We can't wait to do it again soon.

Thanks to Pat for suggesting our little mini-trip!

Looks like fun. Does this mean Olivia is officially a redneck? :)
